13 years ago, I had the opportunity to meet Dan O’Brien, 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist in the Decathlon, and he’s been an inspiration to me ever since.

Over the years, we’ve come to know one another through our shared love and connection to Team USA Track & Field. I’ve also helped him with a bulging disc issue that had been causing him back pain for quite some time.

Dan is a great ambassador for the decathlon and will do anything for the sport. But, more importantly, he is a great person. I respect him for his personal integrity and am honored to count him among my friends.

He recently sat down and gave us a few minutes of his time to share his experiences at Gold Medal Motion.  Thanks, Dan buddy – we really appreciate your kind words.
