Dr. Ben Wyant, DC

My interest in helping people goes back to my childhood.  My dad suffered from gout.  When he had flare ups, we found that gently massaging the inflamed joint provided relief.  Over time, I became the go-to amateur masseuse in my family. Whenever someone had sore shoulders or tired feet, they would come to me, and I was happy to oblige. I found great personal satisfaction in knowing that I could use my hands to make someone else feel better.

When it was time to choose a career path, I knew that I wanted to do something in the health care field and I wanted to work with my hands.

Choosing Integrated Pain Solutions

As I neared the end of my schooling, I had the opportunity to spend time in several clinics with different doctors, including Dr. Curt Draeger.  I was intrigued to find that his clinic, his adjusting style, his philosophy, the relationship he had with his patients – everything was different from what I had seen in other clinics.  I was immediately drawn to his practice style.

Evolving Chronic Pain Treatment

I wanted to be a part of a clinic that was evolving care – both from the perspective of the adjusting techniques and use of High Intensity Laser Therapy, but also in how we care for patients as people.  We engage with our patients, we joke around a bit, we’re not so rigid, and we definitely do not provide “cookie cutter” care.

Your care is customized to how your body hurts and how your body moves, and we take care of you as a whole person.  For example, if a patient is being seen for low back pain, but on a particular day is having a shoulder problem, we look at it and we treat it. There are no extra forms, no extra appointments, no extra billing issues, we just take care of the patient.

A Different Kind of Care for Chronic Pain

Often patients who come to our clinic, they’re desperate.  They have gone through the entire medical spectrum of specialists, medications, and invasive procedures and have not found relief from their chronic pain. They’re frustrated. Often, they feel like no one has truly listened to them. Some have been told that nothing more can be done for their pain.

Then they come here, and it’s different from anything they’ve previously experienced – the therapies, the way we interact, the successes that we have. We’ve been able to get some folks feeling better than they have in, literally, decades.  It’s nice to get up in the morning and to be a part of that.

Dr. Ben was born in Burnsville, Minnesota and lived in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Missouri before coming to Integrated Pain Solutions.  He and his wife live in Green Bay.
